It is the last year that DirecTV is the exclusive home for NFL Sunday Ticket, an over-the-top sports package that airs National Football League regular-season games, and let us say the opening weekend is off to a rough start.
Reports of glitches on Sunday Ticket websites and apps were rampant yesterday, with customers locked out of service, unable to log on, experiencing laggy streams, or receiving error messages that claimed they couldn’t stream because they were in an NFL stadium when they were not.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell confirmed in July that Sunday Tickets’ next victor would be the streaming service, which would be revealed in the fall.
